Welcome to Majacraft.

We make innovative spinning wheels and fibre tools. We hand build all our wheels and tools to make them both beautiful, and functional. Our goal is to create wheels that are easy for beginners to use: intuitive, easy to set up and get spinning on quickly. At the same time, all our wheels will grow with you, no matter the direction your spinning journey takes you. From beginner to advanced, Majacraft wheels will work with you to create your dream yarns.

Majacraft is a small, family-owned company based close to Tauranga in the North Island of New Zealand. It has been operated by the Poad family for over 20 years. Andrew and Toni Poad are involved in the day to day running of the company, along with our ‘extended Majacraft family’, the team who contribute daily to the smooth running and success of Majacraft.

All our products are designed to make the experience of using them as easy and pleasurable as possible. We pay attention to detail in design and construction, and care about each finished item; personally testing all wheels before they leave the workshop. Our products have been designed to interchange parts within practical constraints: pulleys, bobbins and flyers fit across our wheel range.
