We are thrilled to share with you a brand new Majacraft product, one we have been working on for several years from development through to extensive testing. We are very pleased to announce the launch of our new mini drum carder!

 
SMALL MACHINE: BIG POSSIBILITIES!

We designed this delightful mini drum carder to be exactly the right size to join you on all your fibre adventures. Portability is the key, and Atom does this incredibly well: lightweight, compact, with a folding handle and easy-to-carry design, Atom can go anywhere you go! We did not compromise in any way on functionality, quality, or performance. Just like the much larger Fusion Engine, Atom contains high-quality components and is made to last many years without needing any special maintenance.

Atom specialises in giving you excellent control over the carding of a wide range of fibres, from medium micron through to the softest luxury fibres, Atom also allows you to blend colours and is wonderful for making gradient batt sets. It does everything its larger sibling does, but in a small, manageable size giving you batts that are easy to handle and to spin from.

The Atom is a powerhouse travel buddy built with the same premium quality you expect from Majacraft.

• Capacity: Cards beautiful 20–25 gram (0.8–1oz) mini batts.
• Build: Solid bamboo body with industrial-strength plastic gears (the exact ultra-durable material used in our Fusion Engine).
• The ‘Magic’ Drum: Features the same sharp, efficient small drum tines, with raised edges like the Fusion Engine, preventing stray fibres from wrapping around the axle.
• Premium Cloth: Comes with our premium, Italian-made carding  cloth in a versatile 96 TPI (tines per inch), for beautiful, effortless fibre processing.
• Control: A fixed 4:1 carding ratio offers excellent blending control for fine luxury fibres and textured art batts alike.
• Portability: An optional padded carry bag for ultimate grab-and-go convenience will be available to order in the coming year.
• Size: Has a footprint of approximately 32cm (12.6”) long, and 20cm (7.9”) wide.
