We make Hackles!
I have finally found a gap to write the page describing our newest products, single and double row hackles. The pins are bonded in using a very tough resin so they are always perfectly aligned. The hackles come with a wooden cover for the pins to the the hackle and your hands safe from each other. They also have two of our new clamps that have been specially made for this accessory.

The Pioneer Update
We have given the Pioneer a makeover and it is looking great! It is now made entirely of solid pine and the cream wash has been changed for a honey-coloured oil. Photos of the new wheel have been uploaded on to the web site. Click < href='http://www.majacraft.co.nz/wheels/pioneer.php'>here to learn more.

Innovative new flyers
For a long time we have been aware that the shape of the flyers affect the spinning in a considerable way. A flat or square flyer spinning at high speed creates a deal of wind turbulence and this requires work on the part of the spinner. To reduce the work required, we have changed the shape of the flyer bar to be more aerodynamically efficient and are very happy with the results. In our testing, the turbulence produced from one of our new flyers is much lower than anything we have come across. We think this innovation is going to be great if you are spinning fine or fast over a long periods.

Awesome Little Gem video
I have been in contact with Martina and Rainer Schäfer from Germany recently who have a Little Gem. They told me they were working on a 3d animation of the wheel which they have just released on to YouTube. Well here it is and I think it is all kinds of AWESOME! From the work I have done with CAD I can see that this has taken a lot of time and love to put together.
Here is the link for you to see their fantastic work 3d Little Gem animation.
Thank you very much Martina and Rainer for you amazing work.

New video from St Seraphina Knits
Kris from St Seraphina Knits has put together a neat video showing how to quickly get a flyer on and off (without dropping it!) that we have linked to. It is very well done and shows a clever technique to help when using your Majacraft wheel. Click here to view it.

New products, new videos, new dealer features!
Where to start! Well, the first thing is that I have posted a new video from the Majacraft journey to India. It is about a walk we took in the hill villages between rafting on the river Ganges. Click here to view it.
The new products are not exactly new products but rather ones that I seem to have taken ages to get posted on the web site. If you visit the Accessories area, you will be able to view pages about our spinning chair and folding stools, lavender polish and our rather trendy yarn gauges.
I realised recently that I wrote some new features on the Majacraft web site that I forgot to tell you about. The first (and I am quietly very pleased with this) is "My Dealer". I have integrated our dealer database with Google Maps and now if you visit the My Dealer link, you can enter your own address and due to some clever programming it will find the nearest five Majacraft dealers to your location and the distance to them. We really value our dealers and believe that your local dealer is the best place to purchase a Majacraft wheel from so this tool will help you find your local! Click here to visit My Dealer.
I have also added some features that will show images and a more complete description of each dealer on the dealer list. The information will be filled in by the dealers in the near future so watch out for the "more info..." link under the dealer name in the lists.
I hope you have fun with these new features!
