WITHERS WOOL AND FARM

I am an evolving fiber artist. My first passion is spinning unique "hidden treasure yarns" that allow a beginning knitter or crocheter to make unique items by using the very basics of their craft. I am a breeder and raise angora goats and rabbits, four brreds of sheep, and llamas and alpacas. I have ventured into spinning lace weight yarns and designing lace shawls. Overall, I am an abstract artists always searching for the new and different. See the detail on my website: www.uniquedesignsbykathy.com

I teach numerous fiber art classes and most of the instruction is free. I have been called an enabler - and I accept the term gladly. My goal is to turn people into fiber addicts and give them an opportunity to express themselves creatively. I teach - knitting, crochet, nuno and wet felting, drop spininng and wheel spinning. If you are going to be in the Maryland area, feel free to set up your own lesson dates. You will not be sorry! Animal tours are always offered free of charge.

I am on an 22 acre farm in Woodbine, Maryland. My shop is open from 10-5 Thursday-Friday and 10-1 on Saturday, as well as by appointment. You can reach me at jmarckathy@aol.com and by calling 410-795-6070 or 520-401-6117. I accept all forms of credit card payment, as well as checks and cash.
