My husband and I raised hay and sheep for 20 years on our ranch. We decided to change our lifestyle and sold it all. Part of our 300 head of sheep were bred for hand spinning fleeces. I still have a semi-trailer full of wool to do something with. I'll have my own yarn and rovings for a long time to come. I do alot of my own spinning and all my own dying. Knitting has been in my life from a very young age, and spinning has just added another element.

Spin a Yarn specializes in Wyoming wool products such as roving, yarn, and knitted items. I have consignment items in my store also, all from Wyoming or with Wyoming ties. My mother is a quilter and has her own hand dyed fat quarters that we sell thru the shop. She also sells her quilts and wall hangings; but her best seller is the potholders she makes that are a very economical "gift from Wyoming". We have been associated with a wool shop in Dubois for 10 years now, and I have run the shop myself for the last 7 years. I sell knitting and sewing accessories also. The shop features many unique, one of a kind gift items.

Right now we are open Tuesday thru Sunday, from 9:00 to 5:00. The summer hours may be extended.
